June Car Wash Raises Funds For First Responder Scheme
A Team effort by members of Misterton Fire Station and the Five Villages First Responders has raised £550.
The groups joined forces on Saturday 9 June to take part in a charity care wash at the Fox Covert Lane Fire Station.
The joint effort raised £550 which will be used by the Misterton First Responder team to purchase training equipment.
Andy Horton, watch manager at the Fire Station said "Misterton fire crews are committed to their co-responding duties and to supporting the First Responder team through fund raising, use of the station facilities and joint training. I would like to thank Kev Stokes for organising the event, the firefighters and responders who helped and all the members of the public that attended and were very generous with their donations."
Martyn Johnson, team leader for the Misterton First Responders said "We'd like to thank all the team at Misterton Fire Station for their excellent fund raising efforts and for their continued support. The Car Wash day raised a large amount of money for our funds and will help us to purchase training equipment."
