Classic Car Day Donates To First Responder Scheme
Gringley on the Hill Event Supports Local Group
The organisers of the Gringley on the Hill Open Gardens and Classic Car event have donated some of the proceeds from the day to Five Villages First Responders (FVFR).
The event, which was held on Sunday 9 June, saw classic cars, motorbikes and tractors gather at the playing fields in Gringley on the Hill, as well as local residents opening their gardens to members of the public. The organisers chose FVFR to be one of the local good causes to receive a donation from the proceeds of this year’s event, and have donated £550 to the local life saving team.
Members of the FVFR team attended the day and demonstrated CPR and use of a defibrillator to the public and also talked about the role of a Community Responder and met some potential new volunteers, two of whom have since started the process of joining the team.
Group coordinator of FVFR, Martyn Johnson said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the organising team who worked so hard to put on such a great event at Gringley. Thank you for choosing to support FVFR with such a kind donation, it is very much appreciated.”
