Learn Life Saving Skills - CPR & AED

Would you know what to do if a family member, a colleague, neighbour or even a complete stranger suffered a sudden cardiac arrest, would you be able to help them?

There are Community Defibrillators in many local villages now - would you know where they were, and how to access one in an emergency? Could you perform CPR and know how to use one of the public Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)?

These skills are really simple, anyone can do them, and they could be potentially life saving. We run FREE CPR & AED Awareness sessions for any member of the community to attend.

More sessions coming soon in Misterton and Everton.

As well as our CPR & AED Awareness sessions we also run "HeartStart Misterton", which is made up of qualified instructors from Five Villages First Responders & Misterton Fire Station, and is in association with the British Heart Foundation & East Midlands Ambulance Service.

We run 2-hour courses covering how to deal with medical emergencies including choking, heart attack, serious bleeding, unconsciouness and cardiac arrest.

The sessions are normally run at Misterton Fire Station and they are open to any who would like to attend, totally FREE of charge. Date of next course will appear on this page.

We are also able to run these sessions in other locations for members of the public in different villages and communities, or for specific groups or organisations.
